In a true act of fatherly love, compassion, and commitment to the holistic growth of the boy child, the clergy of the Archdiocese of Nairobi on July 27, 2026, donated over KES 500,000 to Kwetu Home of Peace – Ruai during their annual Charity Day.
Led by Rev. Fr. Martin Kimama Kimani, Chairman of the ADN Clergy, Rev. Fr. Peter Kiarie, Executive Director of Caritas Nairobi, and other priests, the delegation began the day with the celebration of Holy Mass before being introduced to the young men and later touring the institution's various projects. The priests also spent time interacting with the boys, listening to their stories, encouraging them, and reaffirming their commitment to accompanying them on their journey of healing and transformation.
“The clergy's contribution would play a vital role in bringing the facility closer to completion.”
— Rev. Fr. Peter Kiarie, Executive Director, Caritas Nairobi
Reflecting on last year's electrical fire that destroyed the home's kitchen, Fr. Kiarie expressed his gratitude to his fellow priests for their generosity in responding to the appeal for support. He also shared the progress made in constructing a new modern kitchen, noting that while significant milestones have been achieved, more resources are needed to complete the project. He observed that the clergy's contribution would play a vital role in bringing the facility closer to completion.
