Relief & Charitable Centres
Upholding human dignity, responding to urgent community needs, and supporting vulnerable groups within the Archdiocese of Nairobi — rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and guided by the mission of integral human development.
Serving those at the margins
Caritas Nairobi operates within a rapidly changing urban environment marked by political, social, economic, and technological uncertainties. To address the increasing complexity and fragility affecting communities, the Relief and Charitable Centres Programme focuses on ensuring equitable access to essential social services and humanitarian assistance for the most disadvantaged populations.
These include refugees, people with disabilities, orphaned and abandoned children, and other vulnerable groups. Through this programme, Caritas Nairobi works to empower communities to take charge of their own development and effectively influence the systems and structures that shape their lives.
